About

Raised in the United States, I’ve been based in Berlin since 2001. I studied in California and England, completing a BA with honours in English and History of Science at Stanford University and a master’s degree with distinction at the University of Oxford.

Since 2014, I’ve collaborated with museums and artists on translation and editing projects.

Before founding Only Today in 2014, I taught for the British Council and managed projects as an editor at Cornelsen Verlag.

I Offer

I translate from German into English, specialising in contemporary and modern art, photography, architecture, and design.

My projects span artist interviews, exhibition wall texts, arts journalism, subtitles, catalogue essays, and press kits for commercial galleries, publishers, artist studios, and museums worldwide.

Many of my clients have worked with me for over a decade, and I am always open to new projects.

I work in both British English and American English.

How I Work

I care deeply about the nuances of the English language, paying attention to rhythm, tone, diction, and clarity.

I tailor each project to its specific context and work with precision and attention to detail.

I work independently, which allows me to respond personally and keep communication straightforward.
